George Sharkey, who was a sole trader of Joinery Services, started Sharkey in 1969. Both sons, Scott and Stephen joined the company in the early eighties where they worked their way up through the ranks and, in 1998, took control of the Company. They rapidly expanded the Company and now work in their current roles of Scott - CEO and Stephen - Managing Director, with the support of the experienced and dynamic management team. The Company has grown significantly over its 39 year history to becoming a leading specialist in interior fit out and refurbishment. It current directly employs in excess of 200 professionals carrying out more than £40 million worth of projects throughout the UK and in some cases, Europe.
